Using BeauCV
Is BeauCV free? Yes. Every template, every editing feature and every export is included, without card, subscription or advertising.
Do I need an account? No. Editing and exports work locally without an account. To save an online copy, sign in with your email and a code, then choose Save to account. Up to 50 résumés are available on every device from your account.
How do I sign in without a password? Enter your email address and type the 6-digit code you receive. The code is valid for fifteen minutes and comes with a verification phrase shown on the page. From your account, you can add an authenticator app as a second factor.
Which languages are supported? The interface exists in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. A résumé can be written in eight variants: English (United States or United Kingdom), French (France or Canada), German, Spanish (Spain or Mexico) and Italian, with the wording and date formats of each market.
Can I use BeauCV on a phone? Yes, with a recent browser. The site can also be installed as an application; the editor stays usable on a small screen, and the preview is more comfortable on a larger one.
Your résumé
Which export formats are available? PDF, produced in your browser; a Word-compatible document (.docx); and JSON, which keeps the structured data of your résumé. Check the layout of each export before sending it.
Do applicant-tracking systems read the result? The templates keep the text selectable, the sections in a classic order and no decorative images, which suits most parsing tools. No tool can guarantee how a given software will read a file: check the requirements of each employer.
What does the rewrite button do? It applies local writing rules to a bullet point: an action verb first, a shorter sentence, no filler. Nothing is sent to a third-party service. Reread every suggestion: it does not know your facts.
Where is my résumé stored, and for how long? Without an account, only in your browser. With an account, on the service host in Paris (European Union), for as long as your account exists. The privacy policy describes the details.
Can I delete a résumé or my account? Yes, from your account: a résumé is removed immediately, and deleting the account erases the account and all its résumés at once. Copies you have already exported stay on your device.
When something goes wrong
The code email does not arrive. Check the spam folder and the verification phrase. A new code can be requested after one minute; each code is valid for fifteen minutes. Temporary or disposable addresses are refused.
Saving fails. Your draft stays in the browser. Export it as PDF or JSON to keep a copy, then follow the steps on the service information page or write to us from the Contact page.
How do I open a previous résumé? Your account lists saved résumés and their last update date. Open one, edit locally, then choose Save to account to update the online copy.
